Paintball Sports Promotions and the entire paintball industry are gearing up for what has come to be the greatest and most anticipated paintball event of the entire year; every year – The PSP World Cup.
Held annually near Orlando, Florida, the PSP World Cup is the king of all paintball events. This is where products are launched, history is made and champions are crowned. This is where teams and companies can either make it – or fail. Each October, in the southeastern corner of the United States, teams and companies come from all over the world to put on their best show, out-shine the competition and prove that they belong on top.
The Action.
World Cup is the carrot each team dangles out in front, beginning even in the off-season. If you make it to cup, and you play the way you know you can play, the paint is in pristine condition, your equipment performs without hesitation, your team communication is unparalleled, your fans chant in support for you, your bond with your teammates has never been stronger – if all the forces come together, you could win Cup. And in the sport of tournament paintball, there is no other single feeling that will ever come close to topping that accomplishment, that feeling, that honor. And long after you lose teammates to girls, work, school or retirement – no one will ever be able to take that away from you. This is World Cup, and it all happens October 20 – 23, 2011 at Fantasy of Flight in Polk City, Florida.
The Goods.
World Cup is known just as much for its Trade Show as it is for the culminating competition. Especially in tough economic times, companies tighten their marketing belts all year long just so they can splurge and impress at the PSP World Cup Trade Show. Massive compounds are set up by the industry leaders, such as DYE, DXS, Empire, Planet Eclipse and G.I. Sportz, each trying to out-do each other as they raise the bar, setting new standards with a launch of their 2012 products. Start-up companies that computer programmers and college students put their blood, sweat and tears into set up 10 x 10 tents to present their concept, their baby, their pitch to the largest gathering of souls in tournament paintball today.
Bloggers and photographers loom about days in advance to sneak peaks at the latest technology, trendiest apparel and sleekest designs. Store Owners and Field Operators from Seattle to Boston place orders at this event to outfit their company for the entire 2012 season. Fans flock to forums to predict event outcomes, review products and later post testimonials of witnessing – or pulling off – the greatest play of the event. League promoters and field operators from all over the world including Kuala Lumpur, Dubai, Moscow, Melbourne and Tokyo, make the trek over seas to meet the industry’s elite, organize meetings and bring back photos and stories to show that they were at the greatest event in the paintball universe.

is there camping near the world series event?
Yes there is one campsite relitivley close that i know of.
i live in lakeland, fl which is less than 2 miles away from fantasy of flight.
it is located on us highway 98 south in lakeland.
it is named sanford rv park.
i will try to find out more info and post it.
There are many hotels in lakeland as well as alot to do!

We release the layout one week prior to the event – so next week!
Will there be a ref clinic for this event?
ANY GAMES ON THE 20TH.
Yes, there will be 8 games going on at a time all day long! The Pro teams do not start until Friday but there will be plenty of up and coming divisional action on Thursday… and the Trade Show will be open too!

What wonderful news that you are making the journey from China! You would probably find the best flight into Orlando, but Tampa is also an airport you could use (I believe Orlando has the most international flights coming in however). From there you could take a bus or car to the event which is located at: 1400 Broadway Blvd. S.E. Polk City, FL. 33868 (“Fantasy of Flight” is the name of the venue). This is about 40 minutes from the airport.

where there be a field open to the public nearby with the same layout?
what time does it start and end on friday, saturday and sunday
8 am – 6 pm Friday and Saturday, 8 am – last game on Sunday, likely around 4 pm!
where do we find/order the event t-shirts?
The event shirts will be sold at the Virtue tent in the Trade Show! They will be located between Planet Eclipse and Kingman’s shooting booth at the front of the trade show. Thank you!
